MARACOOS is the Mid-Atlantic Regional Association Coastal Ocean Observing System, covering the region from Cape Cod, MA to Cape Hatteras, NC.
The MARACOOS mission – to seek, integrate, share and apply knowledge and understanding of our coastal ocean – will be realized through scientific expertise, operational monitoring, and information product delivery in support of the safe and informed use of the MAB’s marine and coastal resources.
The MARACOOS community has identified these five high priority ocean themes for its Regional Observation & Modeling Capabilities:

(2) Ecological Decision Support
(3) Water Quality
(4) Coastal Inundation
(5) Offshore Energy
