The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) has partnered with the Association of Climate Change Officers (ACCO) to offer the Delaware Climate Leadership Academy.

The first training programming that will be offered as a part of the Delaware Climate Leadership Academy is the Certified Climate Change ProfessionalĀ® (CC-PĀ®) Credential Training Program, aimed at building climate literacy and awareness in the state.

The Academy offers programs including formal training, educational webinars, digital resources, and networking opportunities focused on topics such as:

  • Understanding climate science and assessing vulnerability
  • Greenhouse gas, energy and water management and critical infrastructure interdependencies
  • Engaging organizational and community stakeholders to lead change
  • Integrating climate change into enterprise risk management and economic impact assessment
  • Addressing the public health implications of climate change
  • Scaling up clean, adaptive and resilient infrastructure
