Projects & Reports > Natural Hazard and Climate Change Adaptation Tool Kit for Delaware Communities

Last update: January 1, 2014

Delaware communities are susceptible to a variety of natural hazards. Additionally, communities face an increasing degree of uncertainty related to the impacts that future climatic conditions may have on their areas. This toolkit is designed to guide community officials and residents through a planning process that promotes coordination with other community needs and relies on public input. Because every community differs in terms of economics, size, governance, land uses and hazards,
the planning process will help identify the unique problems and solutions for your area. This toolkit will assist communities in identifying planning, mitigation, and adaptation opportunities that will help reduce vulnerabilities to natural hazards and climate impacts.
